Observability Engineer

Overview

As an Observability Engineer at AvionPure, you will own and evolve the observability stack across our client environments. You will deploy, configure, and optimize platforms including Splunk ITSI, Cribl, Dynatrace, and Datadog to deliver real-time visibility into application and infrastructure health, enabling proactive monitoring and rapid incident response.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Splunk ITSI, Cribl, Dynatrace, and Datadog environments
• Design and build KPI schemas, glass tables, and service health dashboards in ITSI
• Configure Cribl pipelines for log routing, parsing, enrichment, and volume reduction
• Instrument applications with Datadog APM, distributed tracing, and custom metrics
• Build Dynatrace dashboards, SLO monitors, and anomaly detection rules
• Collaborate with clients to define observability strategy and monitoring standards
• Optimize data ingestion costs through smart routing and filtering (Cribl)

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in observability, monitoring, or platform engineering
• Hands-on experience with Splunk ITSI (KPIs, services, episode management)
• Proficiency with Cribl Stream for log routing and transformation
• Experience deploying and configuring Datadog or Dynatrace at scale
• Understanding of distributed tracing, metrics, and log correlation (OpenTelemetry)
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
